Student Rooms Maastricht: supply shortage, rising rent

Research by Kamernet.nl shows that the room supply in Maastricht declined by 2.8 percent last month compared to the same period last year. The rent for new rooms rose by 9.8 percent compared to the same month last year. Going rate for a room in Maastricht in August this year was 324 euros, a record amount of to pay for a room. Because there is currently a shortage of room in the market in Maastricht students are even willing to pay 76 euros more to get a room.
